How We Built This Route
Designgoodwork Ltd started with a simple observation: the Dungarvan to Clonea corridor was underutilized, and many retirees wanted a safe, accessible cycling route without the stress of traffic. We're not just a bike path — we're a response to what the community actually needed.
The route connects two vibrant coastal areas with a completely flat 8-kilometer path that takes roughly 25-30 minutes to ride at a comfortable pace. No hills. No surprises. Just steady, enjoyable cycling along one of Waterford's most beautiful stretches.
What makes this special isn't just the infrastructure. We've designed rest stops, installed clear wayfinding, and worked with local businesses to create natural gathering points. Riders don't just pass through — they stop, chat, explore.
Our team includes local cyclists, accessibility experts, and community volunteers who understand that the best routes serve real people . We've listened to feedback from hundreds of riders since launch, and we're always refining what we offer.
